Michael Forestieri has a gift to give you. Funny thing is, you already have it. He’s just going to teach you how to give it away.
That’s what Michael’s storytelling workshops are all about. He has a knack for seeing the potential in each participant, and a penchant for bringing out their creativity and developing their voice. Everyone has a story. Michael will help you to tell it like it is. So when you do ‘give it away,’ you’ll get back so much more
A storyteller, musician and instrument maker, Michael often interweaves harp into the structure and harmonies of the tales he tells. His presentation is both nuanced and nimble, perfectly suited to the audience at hand. His repertoire is a compelling combination of classic tale and original work, with a smattering of folk tales from around the world.
As a teacher, a trainer, a counselor and coach, the common themes of his storytelling are character, self-esteem and community building.
Michael has been steadily involved in the performing arts since 1988, in the areas of dance, drama, and storytelling. With passion and excellence, he has delighted listeners of all ages with stories at schools, libraries, and church groups in several states from Maryland to Connecticut, as well as overseas.
A board member of the national Christian Storytelling Network and member of the local Wilmington Storytellers, Michael is also listed in the Delaware Division of the Arts Performing Artist Roster under: Storytellers and Artists-In-Residence.
Michael lives in Bear, Delaware, with the woman of his dreams (his wife), and the apple of his eye (their daughter).
